Ahhhh, the joys of having children- bags under your eyes, rarely leaving the house with clean clothes- no matter how hard you try-, getting used to finding Cheerios in odd places on your body, stretch marks, wider hips, bigger feet and the dreaded "
Mummy Tummy"........
For a lot of us there is nothing we can do about most of these special presents our children have given us but some of them- like our tummies-
we can change!
Lately, every magazine or fitness article I read has been talking about the mommy tummy- at Buffalo Park a few weeks ago we spent all of our abs station talking about the
transverse abdominals and what they do for us- we learned how to find them, isolate them & work them. This is the 1st step to reversing the lovely pooch so many of us mamas have as a result of our beautiful children. How can we work at losing this tummy?- unfortunately, no magic pills but basic things that we can ALL do-
* Good Nutrition* Focus on your core* Get your heart rate upThe Pampers Village Magazine I just found in my mailbox suggests we,
"join a fitness class designed for new moms and their babies"...hmmmm, wonder where I can find one of those... :)
One of the greatest things about focusing on these muscles is that the best way to target them is not through crunches (although crunches, if done properly- can be effective)!
Click on this link to see some "crunch-free" ways to reduce the pooch.. If you've been to Stroller Strides- you've done most of these & in time, will have done them all.. :)
See you tomorrow at Ponderosa Trails!!!
