Researchers at Penn State found that overweight adults who cut calories and increased whole grains lost more of their tummy pooch than those that cut calories, but stuck to refined grains.
What are whole grains, you ask?
Technically, whole grains are just that, the whole grain (bran, germ & endosperm)...Feel like you're in high school biology yet? A quick & dirty definition would be grains that haven't been broken up and separated through processing.
