Make New Friends

It can be lonely and overwhelming being a new (or even an 'old') mom- with Stroller Strides you're not alone. Come meet other moms in Flagstaff and take some time out for yourself, with your kids. We've all been there and love to help!

How many of us have heard that from brides as they show us the bridesmaids dress they have picked out? I've been pretty lucky and although I still haven't worn any of my bridesmaid dresses again, I'm sure I could. For those of you that weren't so lucky- there's an answer! Someone else can wear it...like a needy high school student who can't afford a dress for the prom. The Soroptimist Club is collecting donated prom/bridesmaid type dresses for girls who can't afford a prom dress next spring. Girls from all the high schools will be invited to participate, based on referrals from their school counselors.

We will also accept shoes, purses, costume jewelry, shawls/stoles, or other accessories, and provide receipts for all donations. Our club runs "Hope's Closet" where we provide nice clothing to women for interviews and jobs, so any items left over will become part of the inventory there and available for women/girls who need them.

For more info on how to donate contact Diane Jarvis at the Soroptimist Club

And check out this website for more bad dresses...
